MDF Shaker fronts, panels & interior joinery | WMB Group SE

If you have the layout but need the right fronts, the useful starting point is a clear specification. WMB discusses MDF Shaker fronts, wardrobe doors and interior panels for bespoke projects, with the sizes, style and finish agreed around the job.

Fronts, doors and panels: tell us which you need

A set of replacement wardrobe fronts has different requirements from a full fitted unit. Identify each door or panel, the quantity and the approximate overall dimensions. If the fronts are for an existing carcass, include photos and details of how the current doors fit.

Discuss the Shaker profile, the frame proportions and the required thickness. Our MDF work includes enquiries for 32 mm Shaker fronts; the final build-up and dimensions still need to be confirmed for the particular project.

  • Shaker-style doors and panel layouts
  • Interior panelling as part of a joinery brief
  • Raw, painted or specialist spray-finished requirements to discuss
  • Supply and fitting scope stated separately

Make the finish part of the brief

Say whether you are looking for raw components or a finished installation. Include your preferred colour and reference pictures, and explain whether handles, fitting and painting or spraying should be included.

Where specialist finishing is required, the finishing arrangements and responsibility are confirmed in the quotation. A style reference is not a promise of an exact colour match; samples and the agreed specification are the useful reference points.

Avoid a cutting list based on guesswork

Approximate measurements are enough for the first discussion. Before production, confirm the finished dimensions, quantities, opening arrangement and any hardware requirements. If you are supplying measurements or carrying out the fitting, make that clear.

MDF and bespoke joinery projects are priced individually. Send the postcode and access details if you want fitting, as well as the work itself. We discuss the scope before agreeing the price or production arrangements.

A few useful answers

Can you quote from a door list?

A labelled list with quantities, approximate dimensions and the required finish is a useful start. We need to confirm the full specification and measurement responsibility before production.

Is 32 mm suitable for every design?

Thickness is one part of the specification. The design, dimensions, opening arrangement and hardware need to be considered together; do not assume one thickness suits every unit.
